Angela Sider

Angela has approximately 20 years experience working in the developmental and mental health service sectors.  She worked for Christian Horizons managing both group and supported living situations, including specialized treatment programs that provide therapeutic supports to people with a dual diagnosis. She has worked as a Family Engagement Specialist for Parents for Children’s Mental Health within the children’s mental health system, consulting to agencies throughout Southern Ontario on how to improve the engagement of families within services, agencies and the sector.

Angela has a specialization in leadership and management with a M.A. in Leadership, and an undergrad in Family and Social Relations (B.A.Sc.).  She is the owner and lead consultant at Sider Consulting which provides leadership direction and change management support to both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.

Angela enjoys volunteering for Parents for Children’s Mental Health as a Chapter Leader for the Waterloo Region.  She is actively involved in local advocacy for families and providing peer-to-peer support to parents, allowing her to use her experience raising children’s with exceptionalities to support others within her community.  Angela was also the Vice Chair for the provincial adoption organization called Adopt4Life.

Audley (AJ) Rainford

Audley has worked in the social service field for the past 18 years, supported people who have special needs in a residential and shelter locations throughout the greater Toronto area. For the past 13 years, he has worked as a Program Manager in Christian Horizons and a Residential Manager at The Salvation Army-Broadview.  In both positions, he managed teams of staff who were responsible for people with special needs with behavioural challenges in a residential setting.

Audley currently works part-time for The Salvation Army Peel Services as a Supervisor.  Currently, he is working with young people at a youth shelter. Audley plans a safe and nurturing environment for men, women, youth and children.  Assessed the unique strengths and needs of youth and families, and modified programming and case management to intervene effectively.

Audley volunteers with True North Aboriginal; a non profit agency that helps supports the community of Mishkeegogamang, where he runs a sports camp for a week in the summer.

Audley went to Redeemer University for Psychology and has a post grad dual diagnosis certificate for theory and practice at George Brown College.
